I learned recently that I have a few new readers, so I just wanted to welcome you. The purpose of this blog is to document my experience in Iraq and generally try to keep you guys updated on events here, if I can discuss them.     There was an attack on one of the posts in Basrah, you may have seen it on the news, but it killed 3 soldiers and wounded another, but is not expected to make it through the night. Please keep them and their families in your prayers. The good news is, the person responsible for the attack was captured. 
    So far, we are still dust storm-free. We can actually see some stars tonight! That doesn't usually happen. I think that's it for now. Until next time...
